When it comes to kitchen equipment, Hobs are probably used more than most. That is why Siemens spent a fair amount of time and effort in fitting their range of induction hobs with an array of smart, stylish, and easy to use functions.
Induction is recognised as being one of the quickest, safest and most efficient methods of cooking available. When a pan with a ferrous or magnetic metal base is placed on the hob, the coil situated below the ceramic surface creates a powerful electromagnetic field which induces a current and generates heat almost instantly directly into the pan.
Siemens Induction hobs are 40% faster than gas as a cooking method, and safer too as the cooking zone switches off if there is no pan on the hob. What‘s more, heat is only generated through the area that‘s actually touching the pan – which also makes it up to 25% more efficient than gas. Spillages are less likely to burn on and there is no need to wait for the glass to cool down in order to give the hob a good clean. You simply wipe over with a cloth.
